Perfect CAD is a CAD software specifically designed for the glass sector, with all the functions that are fundamental for glass shapes. Its main feature is its user-friendliness, despite its completeness and usefulness. The training course lasts one day only.
Perfect DXF is a limitation of Perfect CAD to DXF format import and subsequent changes to the layout, such as grinding offset, edging, edge advance, shape initial node definition, cutting direction, tool to be used (if different from the default one, e.g. for open cut) for some entities (curves or segments).
One Perfect CAD option is Perfect Spline that allows acquiring points from a carton prototype of the shape by using a laser device, a digital drafting machine or a drawing tablet and connecting points with an optimal curve, always tangent and with the minimum number of entities (arcs or segments).
Some of the many potential uses of Perfect CAD are:
Possibility of using DXF format shapes or shapes obtained by using Perfect Shape and of exporting DXF format shapes for different use.
Possibility of defining a shape description, useful during the research stage.
Possibility of using a pre-existing shape and changing the scale factor.
Possibility of changing the shape external square dimensions, centring and bordering a shape, with a preset distance from the edge according to the type of glass.

Segment, arc, circle, ellipsis, rectangle, regular polygon management.
Possibility of selecting and moving nodes (even more than one node at a time) and changing their characteristics (shape starting point limit, automatic connection, etc.).
Parallelism and orthogonality management.
Possibility of defining segments and arcs both by using the mouse and by numerical input.
Graphic tablet or mouse input resolution grid management.
Definition of a series of primitives by choosing single entities (also sequentially) or by selecting all objects within the selected square.
Automatic shape closing (insertion of a segment that completes the shape).
Possibility of working on different shapes at the same time (multiple windows management).
Cut & Paste of a set of primitives from one shape to the other, with possibility of specifying an absolute or relative insertion point, or by dragging with the mouse.
Interpolation between a set of points and a spline curve, with possibility of adding points, moving and deleting existing points, creating a spline from a sequence of segments or arcs.
Mirroring, vertical, horizontal or from a symmetry axis, of a set of primitives, of selected entities or of the entire shape.
Rotation of a set of primitives.
Interface towards graphic tablet and drafting machine.
Direct interface towards the NC machine.
Connection between two segments or arcs, even not consecutive, with settable radium.
Optimized management of consecutive arcs tangency.
Possibility of defining an arc or circle tangent to preceding entities.
Possibility of breaking a segment or an arc deleting a part of it.
Graphic primitives trimming (with cancellation of selected parts).
Edge automatic trimming (for anticipating square cutting).
Offset (useful for shapes to be grinded).
Simplified holes management.
Calculation of the length of selected entities (useful for channels).
Possibility of changing one end or one segment or arc length, with automatic linking to connected segments.
Possibility of changing the rotation direction of arcs, curvature and radius.
Possibility of dividing segments and arcs in equal parts.
High configurability (e.g. definition of an automatic connection to make the movement of cutting heads faster, eliminating the upward rotation movement).
Zoom functions (+/-, window, general overview always displayed if selected).
Entities gathering or separation function.
Construction line management, i.e. entities that have nothing to do with the NC.
Shape duplication function (lines and columns), with possible optimal rotation to minimize the square dimensions.
Automatic shape duplication, to minimize the rectangle circumscribing the duplicated shape.
Nesting aid: rotation and displacement of a simplified shape, with the indication of the minimum distance from another shape.
Possibility of cancelling the last 100 changes in case of mistakes (undo and redo).
Before saving, checking of possible superposed elements and displaying of these elements.
Possibility of query on primitives (starting, ending, circle centre, curvature, radius, base and height coordinates).
Customized shape library management.
Shape printing.
